Salih*, originally from Turkey, was a committed Christian, but during a challenging time in his life, he did an illegal act that led him to the rural prison of Crete.   

At that stage, the leader of our ministry "Anamnisis" in Chania, Ilias Tsartsambalidis, began to visit him regularly and the two men developed a friendly relationship. While Salih was in prison, he talked about Christ to his fellow prisoners, prayed and read the Bible. When he got out of prison, he decided to turn page in his life and make a new start with Jesus again.   

Ilias, along with his wife Nelly, helped him find a job and today he works as a gardener and helper for a family in Chania, Crete. Also, 1 month ago Salih was baptised, dedicating his life to the Lord. We are very happy that despite the challenges, he turned to God!
