"You saved my marriage"
“A few years ago, my husband came to Thessaloniki and while I was still in Iran, he started an extramarital relationship. A while later, we met up in Athens and I became pregnant. That’s when I discovered the relationship he was in and I was heartbroken. For several weeks I went to “The Good Samaritan” crying and sharing the embarrassing situation I was in with the staff.
I’d spend the whole week waiting for my medical appointment because I knew that afterward, we’d spend another hour talking. I asked them to pray for me and my family, and they accepted, but they also spoke to me about the importance of forgiveness. One day, my husband decided to join me at the center, where the staff congratulated him on his beautiful family and his lovely wife - something that encouraged him a lot! He had also realized what a big mistake he made and he wouldn’t stop apologizing. At the same time, the hope, support and confidentiality I received at the center are what gave me the strength to forgive him. Once I was 8.5 months pregnant, we left for Germany and I gave birth there that very day. You are the reason my marriage didn’t fall apart and I now live happily with my husband and our two children.”
