STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the sixty-six books of the Bible to be the Word of God, verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit, inerrant in the original manuscripts, and the only and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, that He was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and is both true God and true man.

We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life; that He was crucified as the substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of men; that He rose bodily from the dead; that He ascended into Heaven where He is now exalted at the right hand of the Father, and where He intercedes for the believer.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly and bodily to receive His own and to establish His kingdom, and to rule in righteousness and peace.

We believe in the unity of the Godhead, eternally existing in three Persons-Father, Son and Holy Spirit-each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity and characteristics of personality.

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death (which is separation from God); and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and, in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word, and deed.

We believe that salvation is wholly a work of God’s grace, and that upon the sinner’s repentance and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ his sins are forgiven and divine righteousness is imputed to him.

We believe that the Church, the Body of Christ, consists only of those who are born again, having been baptized into Christ by the Holy Spirit at the time of regeneration.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the believer to eternal life and conscious fellowship with God, and in the bodily resurrection of the unbeliever to conscious separation from God in eternal punishment.

We believe that Christ commissioned the Church to proclaim the gospel throughout the world to all men, and to make disciples in every nation.
