Behind the scenes – that’s where so much happens that allows our branch of our Organization, AXIA 113, to affirm the worth of refugees in Greece.
Just recently these acts of service took place: a couple stopped their day to wash windows in a new classroom for the Discipleship Training Center, another couple used their construction skills to build a tool cart for the Skills Training Center, another group replaced the roofs of the cabins where Summer Experiences take place for refugee men, women, and families…

Dolphin3 Ready to Serve in Greece
Dolphin3 was donated to Robert Feddes for the purpose of reaching the islands of Greece with Broad Reach. The vessel however was in the Azores which are located in the middle of the Atlantic. Art Nielson who donated her is a missionary today in the Azores because of the impact Costas Macris had on him as a young boy. Costas had visited his church sharing about his work in the jungles of Indonesia. Robert has worked hard to prepare Dolphin3 for her Atlantic crossing and service in Greece…
Hot Meals
Requests for hot meals and groceries for refugees in Athens continue to grow. Last month through our program, AXIA Compassion, we delivered a record number of 5,500 hot meals and 400 grocery bags. We are grateful to have the facilities and supplies to meet this need; yet our prayer is that the need reduces, meaning that self-support has become more possible within the refugee population.

When people’s responses are surprising
Sometimes people’s responses are surprising! Like the one that a lady from Trikala gave to our volunteer when he told her that through the New Testament he gave her she can know who Jesus Christ is. “I know who Jesus Christ is!” she replied confidently, explaining that five years ago she was in a car accident with her husband and they both ended up under a truck. Their car was completely destroyed, but…
“I have committed many sins”
“I have committed many sins”, said the 40-year-old man from a village in Trikala. Having regretted the two abortions, but also the sterilization that he had forced his wife to undergo, the villager wondered if there was any hope for him. “There is no small or big sin, because before the eyes of God sin is sin. Do you think I’ve done less than you? Christ, however, forgives all sins, as long as we come before Him with repentance”…
