The Acceleration Team has been visiting Ioannina and three surrounding refugee camps almost every month since Operation Joshua 2018. We praise God for the 'New Life' Christian community centre which opened its doors in February, and for the ongoing ministry to Greek, Persian, Arabic and French-speaking communities. Please pray with us for the necessary funds to continue renting this coffee shop right in the heart of Ioannina. 

Our co-worker in Ioannina, Christos Charisis, shared an encouraging testimony this summer. During the first three days of the national lockdown in 2020, Christos spoke to four people, all unrelated to one another, who had each received a copy of the New Testament (during Operation Joshua 2018) and now wanted to know more.   

Since Operation Joshua 2020, the Acceleration Team has also been leading monthly follow-up trips to Messolonghi and Agrinio for house visits and street evangelism. We praise God for the team from the church in Patras which is working alongside us and visiting these same Roma communities on a regular basis. Please pray that many men and women will repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and be set free from sin and darkness. 

Please also pray that the Lord will raise up more national workers for his harvest, and that we can expand our follow-up work into more towns and villages that have already received the seed of God's Living Word. 

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” – Matthew 9:37-38
