Radin: "I felt free and happy!"
Radin* arrived in Greece at the age of 35 from Iran. Tired and loaded with a long refugee journey on his "back", he found himself about 3 years ago in "Anamnisi" in Chania, Crete. Initially, he took some clothes and started attending English classes but, over time, it seemed that what he lacked the most was some company. He started visiting the room 2-3 times a week and we sat with him having a coffee and learning his news.
After a while, we suggested he participate in a conference of refugees in Porto Astro, which eventually became a milestone in his life! "They spoke to me about Christ, but I did not believe that He exists nor that He does miracles. For two nights in a row, as soon as I fell asleep, I could hear Jesus talking to me and woke up again! I finally made the decision to follow Him and be baptized. As soon as those in charge prayed on me, I felt joy and freedom in my heart!" said Radin.
When he returned to Crete, he began to search intensively for a job. Very soon he got a job in a bakery, in which he has been working for 2 years now with stamps! Radin still keeps in touch with us and whenever he comes to visit us in "Anamnisi", he holds in his hands freshly baked goods, which he has made himself and is looking forward to sharing with us!
