Just recently we answered a priest’s urgent request for more Greek New Testaments by sending 150 Bibles to his parish in Edessa. He desires to give one of these New Testaments to each and every patient and staff member in the local hospital! During Operation Joshua, he went around and picked up some discarded bibles while on vacation in Chalkidiki. After dusting them off, he gave them to other members of the local community. He earnestly acknowledges the need for God’s Word to be read and understood throughout all of Greece, but does not even have the means from within his church to buy Bibles for his own congregation!
What a blessing and privilege it is to see God awaken hearts within Orthodox circles to treasure and hunger for the Word of God.
